Folksy Friday: Ladybird, ladybird fly away home...

With the weather being so lovely lately, my little girl and myself have been spending quite a lot of our time playing in the garden. I have notice that for some reason, there seem to be a lot of ladybirds this year. They like to gather on one place as you can see from this photo I took.

This has inspired me to search for some Ladybird related items sold on Folksy and I have found so many gorgeous creations. I have compiled this Folksy Friday called Ladybird, ladybird fly away home...
So why don't you take a break from all your hand crafting and pop out in the garden to see how many ladybirds you can find. And with Polka Dots being the latest trend, you may find yourself inspired to make a brand new dotted creation to sell on Folksy !

Must not forget the men…..

I have got quite a lot of personalised silver necklaces in my shop which are great as gifts for daughters, mothers and grandmothers but I realised that I don’t really have any suitable personalised gifts for men! And with Fathers day coming on the 19th June, I thought I should develop some new items which would be nice as gifts for the boyfriends, husband, dads…

My new copper keyrings can be stamped with short messages, poems, childrens names, memorable dates etc. They are oxidised and wire brushed to create aged effect.

My personal favourite is the ‘I love you to the moon and back’ keyring which is created using a moon shaped copper charm.

For better, for worse....

I have recently been asked to make 4 personalised bridesmaids necklaces featuring the bridesmaids' names and the wedding date. They necklaces were made from Swarovski pink pearls which were topped with stamped sterling silver caps.

I really enjoyed making these necklaces and I think they came out really nice. This has inpired me to produce other wedding related items such as my 'Something blue' necklace and Personalised wine glass charms.

The 'Something Blue' necklace is made using a  8mm Swarovski Sapphire blue bead topped with a stamped silver cap. The bead cap have the wedding date or the couple's initials stamped on.

The Personalised wine glass charms are made from 12mm silver discs which are stamped with the bride's and groom's names, their initials, the wedding date, the word 'bride' and 'groom' or just a simple heart motif. For an extra personal touch, they can have a small Swarovski crystal birthstone in the centre.

Both of these items are now available to buy from my Folksy shop. Please let me know if there are any other personalised wedding items you would like to see in my shop.
